چکیده
Abstract Background Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the most versatile and informative modality for diagnosis of locomotor injuries in many animal species; however, veterinary literature describing MRI dromedary camel tarsus lacking. Our purpose was to describe compare images twelve cadaveric tarsi, examined a 1.5 Tesla scanner, with their corresponding anatomical gross sections. Turbo spin-echo (TSE) T1-weighted (T1), T2-weighted (T2), proton density-weighted (PD), short tau inversion recovery (STIR) sequences were obtained 3 planes. Tarsi sectioned sagittal, dorsal, transverse from different planes described compared Results The soft osseous tissues could be clearly defined on corresponded extensively anatomic enabled comprehensive assessment relationships among tarsus. Several structure evaluated that cannot imaged using radiography or ultrasonography, including inter-tarsal ligaments, talocalcaneal ligament, dorsal branches medial lateral collateral ligaments tarsometatarsal ligaments. Specific features regarding identified, fused second third tarsal bone, an additional bundle ligament connecting talus metatarsus limbs long plantar ligament. Conclusions provided thorough evaluation normal Information current study expected serve as basis interpretation clinical situations.

Low-field magnetic resonance imaging of the equine tarsus: normal anatomy.
The objective of this study was to define the normal gross anatomic appearance of the adult equine tarsus on a low-field magnetic resonance (MR) image. Six radiographically normal, adult, equine tarsal cadavers were utilized. Using a scanner with a 0.064 Tesla magnet, images were acquired in the sagittal, transverse and dorsal planes for T1-weighted and the sagittal plane for T2-weighted imagin...
متن کاملMagnetic resonance imaging of feline eye
The purpose of this study was to investigate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the normal feline eyeand optic nerves using T1-weighted and T2-weighted images. A total of 6 healthy female domestic short haircats age 2-2.5 years and weighing 3.2 ± 0.4 kg were selected. Magnetic resonance imaging data werecollected using GEMSOW (Philips) at a magnetic field strength of 1.5 T. Dorsal, sagittal, a...
متن کاملSoftware Tools for the Analysis of Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has become the most popular method for imaging of brain functions. Currently, there is a large variety of software packages for the analysis of fMRI data, each providing many features for users. Since there is no single package that can provide all the necessary analyses for the fMRI data, it is helpful to know the features of each software package. ...
